Accommodations

Q. Are there age restrictions for children?

A. We welcome guests of all ages. We are happy to accommodate families with children of all ages.

Q. What are the check-in and check-out times?

A. Check-in is from 3:00 pm onward, and check-out is at 11:00 am. However, if you arrive early or have time until your next schedule, please feel free to discuss it with us. We are flexible and will accommodate your needs as much as possible.

Q. Can I request a late check-out?

A. We charge different rates depending on the usage time and room type. If there is no room reservation for the following day, you can relax and stay longer.

Q. Can I store luggage before check-in and after check-out?

A. Certainly. We will gladly store your luggage at the front desk. If you plan to send your luggage in advance, please provide the date of your stay and the guest’s name. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.

Q. Are amenities provided in the rooms?

A. We offer carefully selected amenities for both women and men.
For women: Mikimoto skincare set (facial cleanser, toner, moisturizing cream, and others).
Amenity set: hair ties, shower cap, cotton pads, and cotton swabs.
Toothbrush, body towel, hairbrush, tabi socks, and original drawstring bag.
For men: 6-blade razor, shaving foam,
Toothbrush, body towel, comb, tabi socks, and original drawstring bag.

Q. Are there amenities for children?

A. We have amenities prepared to delight our younger guests as well.
For infants and toddlers: Yukata (from 60 cm), disposable bibs, baby chair, toothbrush, slippers, lidded baby bucket, and bags.
For preschool children: Yukata (from 80 cm), disposable bibs, baby chair, toothbrush, and slippers.
For elementary school children: Yukata (from 100 cm), toothbrush, and slippers.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask at any time.

Q. an I request a specific room?

A. We are happy to accommodate your request. If there is an overlap in requests for a particular date, we will accept requests on a first-come, first-served basis.
*Please understand that in the unlikely event of equipment failure or other unforeseen circumstances, we may not be able to fulfill your request. We appreciate your understanding.

Q. What kind of views can be seen from the rooms?

A. Each room features a different themed Japanese garden.
You can fully enjoy it along with the delicious air of Unzen.

Q. Can I use Wi-Fi? Is there a fee?

A. Complimentary usage is available in each room and the main lobby. However, please note that our property is located in an area where optical cable infrastructure is not yet established, which may affect internet speed.

Q. Is there a set time for dinner and breakfast?

A. Meals can be enjoyed at your preferred time within the following hours.
Dinner 5:30 pm 〜 Final start time 7:30 pm
Breakfast 7:30 am 〜 Final start time 9:30 am
For dinner, we serve Kaiseki cuisine, and many guests take about three hours to enjoy their meal and conversation.
Our recommended start time for dinner is around 6:00 pm. We also hope you will enjoy a leisurely breakfast, with a recommended start time around 8:00 am.

Q. Can I bring my own drinks? Is there a fee for this?

A. Yes, we charge a fee for bringing your own drinks, but the fee varies depending on the size of the beverage, so please do not hesitate to ask.

Q. It’s our special anniversary, we would like to arrange a surprise. What options do you offer?”

A. We would be delighted to assist. We can arrange cakes or flowers for you at an additional fee.
Please discuss your surprise at least 3 days prior to your stay.

Q. Can I bring baby food?

A. Of course, you are welcome to bring baby food. If you prefer, we can also prepare our special vegetable puree upon request.

Q. Can I stay with my pet?

A. We regret to inform you that, except for service dogs, pets are not allowed in the rooms or the garden. Pets can only stay in your vehicle during your visit.”

Q. Is tipping necessary?

A. Our accommodation rates include a service charge, so tipping is not necessary.
We are delighted just to hear your words of ‘thank you’ and ‘we had a great time.

Facilities

Q. Is the public bath a hot spring?

A. Our public bath uses sulfur spring water, simple acidic spring water from the source of Unzen Jigoku.
Bathing facilities are available in two locations, East Hot Spring and West Hot Spring.
The East Hot Spring is operated as a public bath that can be used throughout the night.
The West Hot Spring is operated as a private bath. Reservations are required upon arrival, 90 minutes, free of charge

Q. Is the bath in the two-story room a hot spring?

A. Our hot springs are simple sulfur springs, which have the characteristic scent typical of hot springs.
To prevent the distinctive hot spring scent from lingering in the room, the bath in the two-story rooms uses heated water instead.
In your room, we provide a cypress bath for you to enjoy the aroma of cypress scent.

Q. Until what time can I use the public baths?

A. Public bath available from 3:00pm to midnight / 5:00am to 11:00am
The sauna is closed from midnight to 6:00 am to prevent hazards.

Q. What are the hours and dress code for the stores and common room in the main building?

A. Both are available from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm, and you can use them in yukata and geta.

Q. Is there a lounge or bar?

A. We want our guests to relax and enjoy their time in their rooms, so we do not have a lounge or bar available.

Q. Do you have wheelchairs for rent?

A. We provide complimentary wheelchairs and offer assistance with slopes and other needs. Please don’t hesitate to ask.

Q. Is there a parking lot? Is there a fee?

A. Free parking is available.

Q. Is smoking allowed?

A. We apologize to our smoking guests, but all indoor areas are non-smoking. Please use the smoking area next to the main building.

Q. Do you accept credit cards?

A. VISA/JCB/MasterCard/AMEX/Diners are accepted.

Q. Is it possible to give accommodation as a gift?

A. We are happy to accept your request. We can also issue accommodation vouchers, so please feel free to contact us.
